There are 4 times as many species of Fungi than there are plants. We have described only 10% of the assumed 2+ million species of fungi on the planet  and the more we learn about them, the more we realize how essential and helpful they are to our way of life. During this online program John Michelotti of Catskill Fungi will give an overview of the wide world of fungi highlighting fun facts  and findings as we talk about identification of easy edible species, medicinal mushrooms, & mushroom cultivation. This program will serve as an overview to our upcoming Friends of Fungi Workshop at Menla in September where participants go on mushroom walks, cultivate mushrooms indoors & outdoors, make medicinal mushroom extracts, and more!
Hear from some participants from previous Friend’s of Fungi retreats at Menla and get your mushroom questions answered in a Q&A.
