In the last years, a great number of scientific research has shown the different health benefits of spending time in nature. Forest Bathing is the wellness and preventive medicine practice originated in Japan which effectively acts on stress reduction and preventing diseases like depression, insomnia, and burnout. On the other hand, Forest Therapy consists of nature-based interventions designed to support treatment or rehabilitation of specific populations.

However, how can you design and create a forest bathing experience or a forest therapy intervention? How can you apply the knowledge demonstrated by science in order to guide people in nature walks to improve their health and for them to have truly restorative experiences?

In this webinar, you will learn to plan nature-based activities informed and supported by science, in a way that can enhance the holistic benefits of these experiences.

We will touch on part one of the 5×5 Model, an exclusive tool by the Forest Therapy Institute, that will support you in making evidence-based and informed decisions when developing and designing Forest Bathing walks and Forest Therapy interventions, retreats, workshops, programs, etc.

FTI’s unique 5×5 Model was developed from research conducted with 121 Forest Therapy Practitioners, scientists, land managers and health professionals from 28 countries on the core skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to be a world-class guide.
