Sacred Politics: Dance of the Sacred Feminine and Masculine

Effective collaboration of sacred feminine and masculine energies is the most important issue of our times. It affects not just all human society, but the whole of nature. What will a harmonious future for humanity and the world look like?

Will it be a time of resurgent feminine energies as part of a rebalancing of consciousness that has been overly patriarchal? If so, should the men hand over the baton of leadership to the women? Or is this the time when neither men nor women dominate—and instead there is a rebalancing of sacred feminine and masculine energies within all of us.

In the Me-Too era, we are entering a period of rapid change not only in our romantic and sexual relationships, but in all arenas in life from the office to the social and political structures of power. Too much attention has been placed on the problems of this era and not enough on the opportunities. With more women coming into power, this is an opportunity to maximize positive feminine and masculine collaboration. This ground of cooperative interaction may seem new, but there is a vast tradition of sacred practices from many ancient egalitarian cultures to draw upon.

In this retreat, we first explore Native American influences on our founding fathers and our founding mothers (who gave birth to the women’s movement of the 19th century). We then take the time to openly and honestly reflect upon the power structures of the present.

We do this together – all of us, women and men, through ceremony, dialogue, and other practices. We explore what is or isn’t working; what is or isn’t changing. We listen and learn from each other, and in the process, co-create a microcosm of an alternative society. Each of us has a role to play in facilitating a transformation to a world of greater balance and harmony.

This retreat will be groundbreaking because it acts as an incubator for birthing effective practices of masculine/feminine collaboration that can then be applied to all spheres of life.
