Inner Medicine: Tibetan Yoga for Healing, Longevity and Rejuvenation - Sponsored by Tibet House US
With Dr. James Bae DACM, E-RYT, C-IAYT
October 17 - 19, 2025
In this retreat we will explore three aspects of Buddhist Yoga and inner science – meditations from the healing tradition, yogic rejuvenation or Chulen breath practices and longevity rituals for summoning our lost or declined vitality.
The traditional Buddhist Yogic techniques of subtle breath, meditation and sound are applied for healing from within or contacting one’s “inner healer or inner medicine.” Through sequenced postures and movements, the life force and vital essence of the body is cultivated and freed in support of longevity and profound rejuvenation.
While learning the fundamentals of the vital energy system we gain insight into the interplay between body and mind, and ultimately access greater wisdom and compassion.
In this weekend, we will examine inner causes of illness and imbalance and Buddhist meditations to heal our sense of separateness, to one of connection. Drawing upon the outer elements of fall and amid a serene mountain landscape, we will nourish the inner elements for rejuvenation (Chulen)
In the yogic practice of Longevity (tsedrup) we move deeper into the rhythms of the vital energy to contact dynamic resources of embodied compassion – a loving awareness at the heart of these interconnected systems of healing.
The principles and practices can all be adapted, and even applied for self-healing, therapy or clinical care. These powerful transformative techniques can support healing from trauma, grief, loss or anxiety and depression.
