Yuthok Nyingthig is the spiritual practice of Tibetan medicine. It is the practice of Yuthok, a highly realized master and principal founder of the Tibetan medical tradition who lived eight hundred years ago.  A complete system of spiritual practices, including meditations, yogas and rituals, the Yuthok Nyingthig has been practiced by doctors and yogis as a method to develop healing abilities as well as cultivate health and wisdom.  For most of its history, the Yuthok Nyingthig has been kept secret, and only recently has it been taught openly, thanks to the kindness of Dr. Nida Chenagtsang and his teachers.

The Yuthok Nyingthig practices comprise a series of retreats, mostly spanning seven days.  This Ngondro retreat is the first level, which purifies the body, energy, and mind; preparing a ground for further practices and yogas.  The retreat involves seven days of intensive practice, chanting of prayers and mantras, meditations, and physical practices such as prostrations and circumambulations.  Completion of this practice also opens a door to learn and practice more advanced teachings of the Yuthok lineage.

Each day will have four full practice sessions.  Participants are encouraged to join as many as possible.  It is recommended to keep silent throughout the course of the retreat, and only use the voice for the chanting of prayers and mantras.  The practice creates a powerful opportunity for purification and reflection, perfectly contained in the sacred environment of Menla Mountain.

All are welcome who feel and want to deepen their connection to the Tibetan healing traditions.
