Tummo, or Inner Heat Yoga, is the foundation of all the advanced tantric yogas. It is called the foundation stone or pillar of the classic six yoga schema.
The practice of Tummo can enhance meditation, while transforming our energy and emotions, and refining mind and consciousness. The subtle body exercises and breath practices associated with Inner Heat Yoga can open one to the essence of mind and energy – our own natural awareness.
In this progressive study of practical training in the tantric yogas, we will explore the ‘windmind’ or the subtle interconnection between our mind and energy. In this retreat you will learn how to heal the mind and emotions through specific applications of tummo and silent meditation, as well as refine the art of meditation through the yogas of the breath.

In this retreat, Dr. James’ specialty in Tsalung trulkhor will be highlighted in terms of the applications of Tibetan Yoga for advanced meditation.
