Erin Dudley

Erin Dudley is founder of The Yoga Space and is the Arts Program Director of The Hurleyville Performing Arts Center in Hurleyville New York..  Erin relocated with her family to the Catskill Region of NY State after 20 years in the NYC dance and yoga community. She started teaching yoga at dance studios and gyms in the late 90’s and was an inaugural teacher for the Kula Yoga Project where she taught weekly  until relocating to the Catskills. Prior to the birth of her son she was on faculty at Stony Brook University where she created and  implemented syllabi in Somatic Yoga, and Butoh Dance History and taught Improvisation and Contemporary Dance. In addition to asana classes Erin currently teaches elementary Sanskrit pronunciation and Vedic Chant  at her studio  and annually in Kula Yoga Projects 200 hour Teacher Training. Erin’s  Yoga asana classes draw from her love of movement, somatic therapies, kinesthetic anatomy, the investigative philosophy of Irmgard Bartenieff, the quiet passion of Astanga vinyasa, and the rigorous intelligence of Iyengar Yoga. Erin’s classes are grounded in a lifetime of study, experiments, and practice. She honors no one guru but bows deeply to the ancestors and founding teachers for passing on the knowledge to her contemporaries that unrelentingly shine light on personal agency through ethical, compassionate teaching methodologies.
