She began her training in the mental health field working with individuals with severe and pervasive mental health issues in a hospital and community setting. She has been in the mental health field guiding individuals toward health and healing for over 25 years and became an accredited Integrative Psychotherapist in 2000. She is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
Sarah has received training in shadow work, cognitive-behavioral therapy, attachment theory and transpersonal therapy. Sarah specializes in working with trauma, anxiety and self-improvement. She has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). This form of psychotherapy is designed to help individuals process and recover from traumatic experience. Sarah also has a particular interest in neurodiversity.
She has always been fascinated in people and has devoted her professional life to understanding them on a deeper level. While working as a therapist Sarah became curious about the enormous healing power of breathwork and expanded states of consciousness. In 2015, she received her certification as a Holotropic Breathwork facilitator from Grof Transpersonal Training and was trained by Stan Grof.
Sarah has been offering her own Holotropic Breathwork workshops throughout the United Kingdom and the United States. Sarah loves the idea of healing in community and creating a safe space within which healing happens. She attributes Holotropic Breathwork, and the breathwork community, for the breakthroughs and transformations in her life. That has been the catalyst and motivation for her to invite others to experience the healing potential of Holotropic Breathwork.
