At the start of a new year, we often set personal expectations or resolutions for ourselves. What if we took a mindful step together, without expectation, and allowed the spaciousness and refuge of the Sangha to alight us in the present time? When we are collectively mindful, compassionate in support of each other, and fully present seeing and listening to each other,  the radiant flame within ourselves and all beings are illuminated. This is why we gather together.  

Our winter retreat is an invitation into deep practice among a supportive, warm, and welcoming community of friends on the path. Engage your passion for practice through meditation, pranayama, asana, guided relaxation, and sound healing sessions. Our time together will be balanced with individual free time, to integrate the teachings, connect with nature, and enjoy all that Menla Mountain Retreat Center has to offer…..a winter hike, a seat by the fire, a nourishing meal, a healing treatment at Menla’s Dewa Spa, etc… 

Valerie’s approach is drawn from many years of practice and teaching experience in the living lineage of ashtanga vinyasa yoga. She believes everyone can practice and all are welcome.

  • 4:30 – 5:30 pm Asana/Guided Relaxation  
  • 6 – 7 pm Dinner 
  • 7:30 – 8:15 pm Opening Circle, Intro to Menla  

Saturday, January 15th 

  • 7:15 am Morning Meditation 
  • 8 – 9 am Breakfast 
  • 10 – 12 am Asana  
  • 12:30 – 1:30 pm Lunch 
  • 1:30 – 4:45 pm Afternoon Free Time: spa treatments, hiking, rest, etc…
  • 4:45 – 6 pm Pranayama/Guided Relaxation
  • 6 – 7 pm Dinner 
  • 7:30 – 8:30 pm Sound Healing Session 

Sunday, January 16th 

  • 7:15am Morning Meditation 
  • 8 – 9 am Breakfast
